To & From Uganda With Love (Renew Uganda team stories)

3/26/17. Listen in as we hear from the Uganda mission team, recently arrived home from East Africa. There they lived and served alongside our friends Paul and Pam Hunter with Next Generation Ministries. Ladies from the Renew family joined others locally for this trip to the Pearl of Africa. Our relationship with the people of Jinja, Uganda especially, and the Hunters in particular, enable us opportunities to commit long-term for the renewal of the nation and making more disciples of Jesus.

1/22/17. Week 3 of Build the Altar. Relationships are God’s method for changing the world, especially “Gospel Friendships.” But how do we get those, and what distinctives make for true and lasting change in our lives?

Partnering with YoungLives

8/28/16. This morning we heard of the opportunities before us through partnering with YoungLives in hopes of reaching single teen moms with the love, grace, and hope of Jesus. We welcome Kari & Rachel of YoungLives »
email: southportlandyounglives@gmail.com
web: http://portlandsouthyounglives.younglife.org
YoungLives, seeks to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ and His unconditional love with pregnant and parenting teen moms. They do this by engaging in relationships, treating each mom and child with love and respect, and supporting their needs. Mentorship is a vital and effective conduit for sharing Christ’s unconditional love and grace nature. Through these relationships, the unique needs of teen moms are met, and girls are empowered and equipped to be thriving mothers and members of society, all while growing their faith in Christ. #localmission

Holy Week & World Water Day

Amidst the news cycle of a bombing in Brussels, a genuine tragedy, it’s easy to forget that today is World Water Day. While we can turn on any tap and fill a cup to sip while reading the day’s news, each and every day the thirst for water is real for 663 million people. That’s a daily tragedy, and it can be avoided! So today, and every March 22nd is a reminder for us to remember communities of faithful, resourceful people who rely on our support for the most basic of needs: CLEAN WATER!
