Boasting in the Cross: How Christ Satisfies Our Glory Hunger (Galatians 6:11-18)

1/28/18. Week 11 (finale) in Galatians. “Glory Hunger” is a condition we all have, sine the Fall, and from even before. We were created to hunger and thirst for glory, but what makes our desire for glory and boasting bad? And when is it good? These final words from Paul to the Galatians illustrate how meaning in life, and satisfying our glory-hunger is supposed to work in Christ.

The Spiritual One-Two Punch

Faith is key.

But it’s only half the story. Faith is half of the spiritual one-two punch that deals a death blow to the devil. Faith is important, but it wasn’t until last week, re-reading about Abraham, that I noticed the other half, the part that’s often over-looked and hardly ever touted for its importance.
