Where there is Darkness, He is the Light (Psalm 67)

7/23/17. Week 7 in Summer Psalms. Where there is Darkness, He is the Light (Psalm 67).

During Renew Family Camp we paused on Sunday morning to read, sing, pray, and rejoice in the Gospel of Christ.

Psalm 67 reminds us that God is the Light of the world, even in the darkness that surrounds.

Build the Altar: Gospel Friendship

1/22/17. Week 3 of Build the Altar. Relationships are God’s method for changing the world, especially “Gospel Friendships.” But how do we get those, and what distinctives make for true and lasting change in our lives?

“Christianity demands that we have enough compassion to learn the questions of our generation.” —Francis Schaeffer

“People like to follow a leader who doesn’t have it all together.”

This Summer our friend Lee Edward came to see Jeff & Kari Patterson, set a microphone on the table, and interviewed them for a “Leadership Portrait” episode on his podcast. Reproduced her with his and their permission, a quick intro added for context. See the podcast page at http://www.godrenews.us/leadership-portrait-jeff-kari/ for quotes and show notes.

Recapping the Renew Men’s Intense Jesus Weekend

9/25/16. Listen in as a couple of our men share about the unique experience a dozen godly men had together this past weekend.
This Fall the Renew men have two retreat options, weekends away together. The first one was dubbed an “Intense Jesus Weekend,” focused on growing deep as a man, with unique challenges, gaining insights in how to lead yourself and others in the ways of Jesus.
There’s still room for the next one, the “regular” men’s weekend: October 28-30, also local. While it may be less “intense,” it will be no less awesome.
