In our desire to equip parents as they “train their children up in the way they should go,” we have created a blog series to communicate the lessons our kids will be learning each Sunday, family verses to memorize together, and resources to help you as the parent to disciple your children.

Renew Kids

The word “disciple” means to intentionally impact the life of someone in the direction of being more like Jesus.

Disciples follow Jesus and help others follow Him too.

Every week faithful servants enter into the disciple-making process with Renew Kids.

There are now FOUR classes every Sunday:

  • Nursery (birth-2yrs),
  • Preschool (ages 3-4yrs),
  • Primary (ages 5-7yrs), and
  • Challenge (ages 8-10yrs)

All of us begin the gathering together to sing, listen, and pray as a whole church family.

During this Christmas season we will be going through the Advent Catechism as a church family and encouraging our families to do it at home as well.

This Week’s Advent Catechism (Chapter 3: Hope Dawning)

Soon after, God sent the angel Gabriel to visit a young Jewish girl named: Mary.

Mary was frightened, but Gabriel said to her: “Do not be afraid.”

Gabriel told her that she had found great favor with God and she would be: blessed.

She was going to give birth to a king, the child would be the anticipated: Son of God.

In humble belief, Mary responded: “I am your servant.”

Renew Kids Christmas Program Practice

This week the Challenge, Primary, and Preschool class will be practicing in the Primary Classroom for our Renew Kids Christmas Program that will be held on Sunday, December 17th during our regular Sunday service. They will be re-enacting the Christmas story and singing “Away in a Manger” together. Please practice singing the first two verses of  “Away in a Manger” with your children this week.

Here are the lyrics:

Away in a manger, no crib for a bed,
The little Lord Jesus lay down His sweet head;
The stars in the sky looked down where He lay,
The little Lord Jesus, asleep on the hay.

Oh, the cattle are lowing, the Baby awakes,
But little Lord Jesus, no crying He makes;
I love Thee, Lord Jesus, look down from the sky
And stay by my cradle till morning is nigh.

After practice the children will enjoy a snack together before rejoining our Sunday service.
